Turning off account level Automated Assets within the Google Ads web interface is tricky for the uninitiated. It involves at least 30 clicks.
How to turn off account level Automated Assets in Google Ads
In the tree menu on the left, click on Assets > Assets
On the right-hand side above the data table click the More … three dot menu
Click Account level automated assets
Click Account level automated assets settings tab
Turn off assets from this screen and choose the most appropriate reason for turning off, not that it matters.

4. Turn off assets from this screen and choose the most appropriate reason for turning off, not that it matters.
This method is slow and laborious.
A better way to solve this problem would be using Google Ads Editor or to be able to select all assets in one click to turn off, but this is currently not possible.
